These spoilers aren't 100% confirmed, but I got them from a source OTHER than the troll, a source I trust. So I think they're correct.

That being the case, let's get the discussion started!

SPOILERS from "Sozin's Comet: The Final Battle" book

Aang is not happy about having to kill the Fire Lord even though everyone is stressing how much Ozai needs to die. Upset about having to take a life, Aang seeks out the other Avatars for their advice.

Zuko reveals that in the meeting that forced his decision to betray the Fire Nation, Ozai announced his plans for his military to go on a Sozin Comet induced rampage and basically burn what’s left of the other nations to the ground.

Aang defeats Ozai, but lets him live…he is removed from power. With his uncle’s encouragement, Zuko takes the throne and is instrumental in healing the world. Iroh retires and opens a tea shop.

The White Lotus Society makes an appearance, Master Pakku is revealed as a member. They liberate Ba Sing Se and the Earth Kingdom.

Azula does go crazy and starts banishing people. She has major issues with Ursa and is hurt that she never cared for her the way she loved Zuko. She has an Agni Kai with Zuko, the result of which my source didn’t elaborate, but seeing as Zuko becomes Fire Lord I don’t think it goes well for her. But then, the source also states that Katara takes her down, so who knows?

Sokka, Suki and Toph have a separate mission involving an airship in which Sokka loses both his sword and his boomerang. NOOOO!!!!!

Ty Lee joins the Kyoshi Warriors.

Little is made of the romance…but as one is totally obvious and I said that I’m saddened by the spoilers I think you can figure out how they work out…

Sure thing. I wanted to get them out there in some appropriate form.

I'm mildly surprised that Ozai didn't conveniently fall off a cliff, and I'm sort of wondering how exactly they'll keep him locked up (um, permanently in the Cooler? Exiled to one of the Water Tribe territories and stored in an Igloo?) I'm also wonder exactly what his rationale for deciding to just crispy fry the whole world is...I'm kind of hoping for something more interesting than "I'm EVIL and CRAZY and THAT'S WHY!"

I'm also wonder what effect, exactly, the comet has, and whether or not it hits.

I'll update with more reliable spoilers as I get them.

If this is legit, it's time to whip out the fanfic. There is so much epic fail here, I don't know where to begin. X_x

No Longshot, Smellerbee, Song, Koh? I know I heard Koh was supposed to come back, but apparently he's not even mentioned in this pile o' poo.

White Lotus does nothing in the final battle--they're just part of the clean-up crew? Utter fail.

The ships aren't a bother, as if anyone really wanted, to it wouldn't be hard to break at least one of them up.

Like I said, fanfic writers, get out your wordpad...

Keep in mind this is a one-page summary from a kids' book. The actual finale might well (or might well not...) give us more of what you're asking for.

I, for one, am going "WHERE THE HELL IS URSA?!?" She better not be dead.

I'm kind of disappointed that Ozai and Azula didn't get offed. It just has less of an impact on me without their deaths.

Well, I wouldn't be totally surprised if Maiko did happen. I don't like it either, but it's something I've been preparing for!!

Man, I know this is a quick summary and probably not going to be nearly as cannon, though based off the show. I just have a hard time thinking of Master Pakku as part of the White Lotus Society. It just sounds...out of the blue. Doesn't sound ridiculous, but still...kind of random. I can't believe Aang doesn't kill Ozai. That's just dumb. You kill of Zhao, who was a dick, and Jet, who was a dick but got redemption, and the total asshole of the series gets to live!! I don't like that!!! LAME!

Sometimes stripping the biggest asshole of complete power and abandoning them can have just as much of a punch as killing them. Would be like cutting Azula off from her firebending abilities, chaining her to a wall and having everyone ignore her would drive her batshit.

Oh, well, there's always fanfic...as long as Azula doesn't die, which I really hope she doesn't, and not just for Tyzula. It seems like such a waste to let her die, y'know?... I'd much prefer an open ending for her, or something, so we can at least speculate.
As for Ozai...I hope he doesn't turn out to be as one-dimensional as he sounds :/

But, seeing as this is just an extremely simplified version of the actual finale, it'll probably be much more epic when it actually airs, so we should all probably calm down before we get too disappointed, right? :D /naive optimism

Agreeeed! And I'm actually torn as to whether I'd rather see Azula go out in a blaze of glory or live to have hot lesbian sex with Ty Lee and any Kyoshi Warriors that are willing to join in. :\

I am puzzled as to how buff!Iroh can go from busting his own bad self out of jail ... to retiring and opening a tea shop. Something truly epic MUST have occurred along the way! And if canon doesn't cover it, well, as [info]inuyatta commented, "If this is legit, it's time to whip out the fanfic." I'll have to help fill that void with a fic of my own and try to do justice to the Dragon of the West.

Anybody who has the book: is there anything about the Sokka/Suki/Toph triangle at ALL? That's the one storyline I really want to see resolved.

I doubt we have the complete story here. The book was described as telling the story from the points of views of certain characters. Unless every single character had a say there's going to be a lot of omissions.

We know the basics...we'll have to wait for the details...

Hmm, this may be pushing it for a "kid" show, but perhaps Ozai takes his own life as one last nah-nah? I mean, it was done in the second Lion King, so if Disney could get away with it... In any case, maybe he jumps off that cliff. Or, y'know, just mysteriously disappears. I mean, he could be like the Master and keep showing up no matter what the Gaang does. (The Master is from Doctor Who if anyone's wondering.)

I just want to see Buff!Iroh kick ass and take names, and then retire to his tea shop leaving everyone going, "WTF?" I can just imagine Zuko's expression, lol. Really, I just want Iroh to have a good end. I'll be happy with that.

And yes! I want to know about the Suki/Sokka/Toph love triangle!

I'm a bit concerned about these spoilers -- kind of sketchy/disappointing, idk -- but for every line we have here, there's probably 5-10 events/lines that explain/justify/make sense of this. There's a lot missing.

Also, reading your comment kind of made me laugh, because in an RP I'm in, Azula and the Master are friends XD

I really think it was a case of Mike and Bryan having ideas for things they thought would be really cool, but they had NO idea how to string it all together.

S3: With the approach of the comet ensuing, it was preceded by dark times of character rape, fillers and sloppy writing. D:

I'm not suggesting anyone has to believe this stuff if they don't want to, but a word to the wise:

Do NOT start giving me the kind of crap people gave to Redwiltingroses. I won't put up with it.

Personally this sounds quite real to me, and I'm usually a pretty good judge of these things, but I wouldn't dream of denying you your cruise on the Egyptian River.

I really don't know what to think of this. On one hand, I like some of things that go on in here, but then I see other things that make me frown and scream at the computer screen, "EPIC FAIL". I bet, if this is indeed true, that it'll look so much better when we see the finale animated, but what I'm seeing in writing isn't really impressing me much.

(1) Aang feeling bad about the potential murder of the Fire Lord is quite believable, seeing as how he is a friendly little monk who has a humongous responsibility. I can kind of see how Koh can be worked into the plotline, seeing as how he, "...seeks out other Avatars for their advice.". One would only assume that Aang's going back into the spirit realm, and going to meet our lovely face stealer.

(2) I don't really understand this one...would this happen before the comet impacts or after? This one doesn't seem really believable to me.

(3) NO...just no. First off, where would Ozai go if he were to be removed from power, defeated and probably exiled from his country? They wouldn't stash him in a prison..that's not Ozai-like, and a shortcut in writing! Iroh's retiring from what, working on his rock hard Bumi abs? That doesn't make ANY sense.

(4) Just Master Pakku? No one else, like Jeong Jeon, Piandao, Bumi, etc.? I feel like this is half correct, but it's not giving us the full details.

(5) I can totally see how she would start banishing people left and right, and how she would be hurt by her mommykins not loving her as much as Zuko. An Agni Kai's kind of cliche, though...it's like we started the series with an Agni Kai between him and Zhao, and now we end it with another battle between Azula and Zuko. I'm guessing, if Katara "...takes Azula down", she must be helping him in some way.

(6) Ty Lee joining the Kyoshi Warriors is totally believable.

(7) Maiko happens...after The Boiling Rock, the ship is A LOT better. Zutara doesn't happen...poopy, but at least we got screentime AND OUR FANFIC IS SO HOT. MY GOD! Kataang...happens?...doesn't happen?...they would've said something, it's one of the biggest ships.



EDIT:

...does Katara die, or something? She's barely mentioned.

6 - this one's hard for me to swallow. I was always under the impression that Ty Lee preferred a peaceful lifestyle.

as for 7...it's ironic that the break-up of Maiko was written better than the entire 'ship itself.

But yes, I sense a lot of epic fail here, so no, you're not alone.

Ty Lee joins the Kyoshi Warriors.

Clearly, this means we should all start shipping Suki/Ty Lee. I hereby christen the pairing Sulee, to be pronounced as "sully", as in dirty deeds, done dirt cheap. Together, Suki and Ty Lee fight crime have excellent adventures and share Sokka! XD

Wait, Katara helps Zuko take down Azula??? >_> Why? It makes no sense. The rivalry is between the siblings so she shouldn't be interfering. Unless it was like a double KO and she helped Zuko survive or something.

Ty Lee joining the Kyoshi Warriors was kind of random.

My guess with Sokka, Suki, and Toph is that they go free some prisoners - they've done it before (at least Sokka and Suki) so that would make sense. There are people left over from the invasion force plus the Kyoshi warriors and they're all probably held in the same place.

This is the kind of ending I expected; the only thing I'm really surprised about is that Ozai doesn't get what's coming to him. It all seems pretty believable to me. I'm sure it'll be way more awesome in episode format. 8D

I always assumed that after Ozai was defeated Iroh would become the firelord and then Zuko after him. Considering Iroh was the first born son and it was rightfully his position. And then there's the fact that Zuko is still a teenager and probally not ready to rule the fire nation yet.

you gotta be fucking with me right? this is obvious a cruel cruel mind fuck, I seriously don't believe with how Mike and Bryan did the first two seasons of this show that the epic finale to end it all would just end in a lame ass plop.

I will be angry beyond words and this will just ignite for strong hatred for all american cartoons that try to copy Japanese anime and fucks it up big time!

Tell us how you really feel...

Yeah...the spoilers are kind of flat...but I don't believe everything's in there. The book is told from the point of view of certain characters, so only the scenes those certain characters witnessed were included. A lot of stuff was glossed over...the shipping...Zuko's coronation...what actually happened to Azula

I think...and hope...there will be scenes with other characters *coughIrohcough* that were not part of the book and will make the animated version far more awesome...

This spoiler doesn't make any sense! I personally think that for a magazine, this is poorly written. White lotus clean-up? Ty Lee joins the Kyoshi Warriors? OZAI DOESN'T DIE?? W.T.F. Seriously. It's not a magazine, it's a childrens' chapter book, so the writing isn't going to be anything a fan above the age of 10 or so is likely to get much from. Also, it's not a great idea to judge the finale by these spoilers -- although I believe they are real, they are one short page summarized from an already short 64 page kids' book. I think it would be best to withhold judgment until the finale actually airs.
